It is precisely at such times that it is essential for us in Cruquius to be able to help one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is going on?<\/strong><br>Our local council has approached Cruquius to ask if we, as a village, would like to organise ourselves to provide assistance in emergencies, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>prolonged power outages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>failure of communications or utilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is the aim?<\/strong><br>The aim is simple and powerful: to know who needs help and who is willing to help others in times of need. This can be done in all sorts of ways, for example:<br>\ud83d\udee0 Equipment \u2013 chainsaws, generators, tools<br>\ud83d\udca1Knowledge &amp; skills \u2013 technical, digital, electrical<br>\ud83e\ude7aCare &amp; support \u2013 medical, mental health or practical<br>All assistance is voluntary and takes place exclusively with your consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How do we organise this?<\/strong><br>Neighbourhood support workers are active in every neighbourhood and are in contact with a core team. The core team is linked to the safety region.
