Why this flyer?
The government is calling on residents to be prepared for emergencies. In extreme circumstances, everyone is expected to be able to fend for themselves for at least 72 hours. Emergencies are unpredictable. That is precisely why it is essential that we in Cruquius are able to help each other.
What is going on?
Our local council has approached Cruquius to ask if we would like to organise ourselves as a village to help in emergency situations, such as:
- prolonged power outages
- failure of communications or utilities
A group of 10 interested parties has now started this initiative.
What is the goal?
The goal is simple and powerful: to know who can and is willing to help each other in times of need. This can be done in many ways, for example:
🛠 Materials – chainsaws, generators, tools
💡Knowledge & skills – technical, digital, electrical engineering
🩺Care & support – medical, mental or practical
All assistance is voluntary and will only be provided with your consent.
How do we organise this?
Each neighbourhood has one or more neighbourhood support workers who are in contact with a core team. The core team is connected to the safety region. Data will only be used in emergency situations.
What does this mean for you?
A neighbourhood support worker will visit you with a short questionnaire.
Your participation is of great value for the safety in your neighbourhood and rapid assistance in emergencies.
Would you like to contribute actively? We are looking for neighbourhood support workers!
Would you like to become a neighbourhood support worker yourself or receive more information?
